Ariabl'eyeS is an active non-vkei band. They have been active since 2011.
I would argue that it's a mistake to mark this band as non-vkei, and that Lyse makes it count as visual kei. Emille's Moonlight Serenade is counted as visual kei on this site, and they are very similar, with SALA being the "visual kei" member.
Other than the vocalists, every member, support member, and guest member has been a visual kei bandman. If that's not participating in the visual kei scene, I'm not sure what the random online-only Brazillian bands are doing differently to be marked as visual kei on this site.
Hi anonymous, “participating in the visual scene” means things like performing at livehouses that cater to visual bands, holding lives with visual kei bands, being sold in stores that sell visual kei items, being covered in visual kei sources like VISUNAVI, etc.
A band is not necessarily visual kei just because its members were in other visual kei bands. In this case, Ariabl'eyeS more closely fits the definition of a non-visual doujin band. Due to their visual kei connections they are still allowed to have a page here, though.
I would definitely recommend reading through our documentation as it covers which bands are allowed to be here on vkgy, what we consider visual vs non-visual, etc. As you'll see in that document, doujin bands may be marked as visual kei if they explicitly list themselves as such—if you have evidence of Ariabl'eyeS calling themselves vkei please let us know!
As for the online-only Brazilian band, please let us know which you're talking about. We didn't always have such stringent rules (online-only foreign bands are now not allowed at all) so some bands may have been added incorrectly.
Thank you!
